Since 1861, the steeple of the Old Stone Church has been a beacon over Lemont—standing watch through generations, a symbol of resilience, community, and enduring history. Today, time has taken its toll, and this cherished landmark is in urgent need of $64,000 worth of restoration. The Lemont Area Historical Society is committed to preserving the Old Stone Church, not only as our home, but as a cornerstone of local history. The repair of the steeple is essential to safeguard the integrity of this historic structure and to ensure it remains a lasting legacy for future generations.
